Unaric Emerges from Stealth with $35 Million in Funding and a Plan to Acquire and Consolidate Startups within the Salesforce Ecosystem

In a move that is set to shake up the Salesforce ecosystem, Unaric has emerged from stealth today with $35 million in funding and a plan to acquire and consolidate startups within the Salesforce ecosystem. The company has secured $25 million in debt and $10 million in equity from various VCs, angels, and growth lenders as it looks to bring together independent Salesforce-focused SaaS companies to help them capture a larger chunk of the gargantuan market that has cropped up around Salesforce over the past couple of decades.

The Rise of the Salesforce Ecosystem

Salesforce has built a massive ecosystem with thousands of smaller companies cropping up off the back of its rise to become a $200 billion enterprise behemoth. However, relatively few companies within this ecosystem have managed to become massive in their own right, due in part to their narrowly-focused "point solutions" that mean end-users have to combine multiple different tools from various smaller vendors – something that larger enterprises are often reluctant to do.

Unaric’s Vision

"This is where Unaric enters the fray," explained James Gasteen, co-founder and CEO of Unaric. "For enterprise customers, it can be painful to purchase and manage small niche solutions. Unaric addresses this by building larger suites that solve large problems for customers through a single vendor who can provide greater innovation, better service, and global support."

Founding Story

Unaric was founded out of London in July last year with the goal of buying up to 40 companies over the next three years. The company’s first acquisition is Salesbolt, a product that automatically keeps CRM contacts up-to-date.

Cross-Selling and Knowledge-Sharing

Over time, Unaric says it intends to increase the opportunity for cross-selling and knowledge-sharing across all Salesforce products under its wing, as well as introduce a "shared central infrastructure" including a product and engineering hub.

Focus on RevOps

Unaric’s initial focus is firmly in the RevOps realm, an area that Gasteen says it will double-down on. "RevOps is a critical function for many businesses today," he explained. "We believe that by building a suite of tools that cater to this space, we can help businesses streamline their operations and improve efficiency."

The Future of Unaric

With $35 million in funding and a clear vision for the future, Unaric is set to make waves in the Salesforce ecosystem. As Gasteen explained, "We’re excited to bring together a community of innovators who share our vision for a more streamlined and efficient business operations landscape."
